Coolpad Dazen Note 3 India Launch Set for Friday
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad Dazen has begun to send out invites for the launch of a new smartphone in India on Friday. The company is expected to launch the Dazen Note 3, following the announcement in July in which it had laid out its plans to launch a smartphone with a fingerprint sensor at a price point under Rs. 10,000.
Gadgets 360 has learnt that the phone being launched on Friday question will be a "sub Rs. 10K" handset which will come with a "feature that's not available at the price," tying in perfectly with previous statements about the Coolpad Dazen Note 3.
The same handset was launched in China in late July. It sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720) display. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Other features of the handset include support for 4G LTE, a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus feature and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both front and rear-facing cameras will come with a CMOS image sensor for better image quality. The handset packs in a 3000mAh battery, and white and black colour variants. The fingerprint sensor in the phone is said to support 360-degree finger rotation and offer speedy recognition.
The company's India CEO Varun Sharma previously announced that the company could launch an upgraded version of the handset with 3GB of RAM. Both fingerprint scanner capability and 3GB RAM module are not available in any sub-Rs. 10K smartphone.
Coolpad Dazen launched Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 4G LTE smartphones in India in May. For the first two smartphones, Snapdeal had the exclusive rights to sell the handsets in the country. The new invite confirms that Amazon India will be the exclusive partner for Coolpad Dazen Note 3.
