Realme 1 ColorOS 5.2 Stable Update Rollout Begins: Here’s How to Gain Early Access
Realme 1₹ 10,490 has now started receiving the latest ColorOS 5.2 software update in India starting Thursday. The stable version of the ColorOS 5.2 update has started rolling out for the company's budget smartphone and users can get early access by filling up a simple form with their IMEI numbers. Registered users will be eligible to get the ColorOS 5.2 update about 24 hours after successful registration. ColorOS 5.2 on the Realme 1 will bring new features such as improved bokeh quality for the selfie camera, certain optimisations, and more.
Realme CEO Madhav Sheth took to Twitter on Thursday to announce the rollout of the update, days after confirming the rollout. "As you all know we are rolling out stable version of ColorOS 5.2 for Realme 1 users starting today in a phased way,” he said. To get it earlier, interested users can fill up this form in order to get an update within the next 24 hours.
As for new features, the ColorOS 5.2 update brings features including the optimisation of front bokeh quality for the front camera, optimisation of ongoing notifications in various modes, and improvement for yellow status bar blinking. It also comes with new elements such as single-swipe notification dismiss, a headset icon, a new Smart Bar feature to intelligently multitask between apps, and also fixes for developer options' flashing.
Additionally, the Realme 1 and Realme 2₹ 7,500 have been confirmed to get the latest Android 9.0 Pie update soon enough, although there are no official timelines on the same. ColorOS 5.2 update on the Realme 2 and Realme C1₹ 7,999 is also in the works, says the company, but it might take longer than the Realme 1.
