Xolo Black 1X Set to Launch on Wednesday; Specifications Tipped
Xolo has announced that it will be unveiling the second smartphone under its premium 'Black' brand called the Black 1X. The domestic handset manufacturer has confirmed an exclusive Twitter launch of the Xolo Black 1X on Wednesday.
To recall, Xolo back in July had launched its first smartphone under the Black brand, dubbed Xolo Black. It was priced at Rs. 12,999 and went on sale exclusively via an e-commerce website. The upcoming Xolo Black 1X is also likely to be available via online channels only.
Ahead of the company's Wednesday launch, the Xolo Black 1X has reportedly also been spotted on Geekbench and GFXBench benchmark listings. According to the leaked benchmark listings, the handset is likely to run Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It will feature a 4.6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Xolo Black, in contrast, was powered by a second-generation 64-bit Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) SoC. The handset is said to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The Xolo Black 1X is likely to come with 32GB inbuilt storage with no word on expandable storage support, as of now.
Notably, the Xolo Black featured a hybrid dual-SIM slot, where the second SIM card slot also doubled up as the microSD card slot. We can expect the same feature to be present in the Black 1X. Much like the Xolo Black smartphone, the Black 1X is expected to support 4G connectivity and come with dual-SIM support.
The Geekbench listing showed that the handset scored 617 in the single-core test and 2697 in the multi-core test. The GFXBench, on the other hand, indicates some additional details about the handset such as presence of accelerometer, GPS, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and also an LED flash module. The benchmark listings were first reported by FoneArena .
We can expect Xolo to announce some bundled offers with its new Black 1X smartphone as the company had in July tied up with Vodafone to provide a bundled SIM offer with 1GB of free data a month for two months, and unlimited Vodafone music for two months.
