Moto X Style to launch soon in India
Motorola's flagship for 2015 - the Moto X Style will launch soon in India. The Lenovo owned company tweeted, " Get ready to live life to the fullest & party in 15 minutes flat with the Moto X Style. Coming very soon."
This was on the same lines as what the company indicated when it launched the Moto X Play in the country last month. The company promised that the 'Style' edition of the Moto Play was coming to India and indicated that it will try to launch the product before the festival season in India.
Unlike, the Moto X Play, the phone has a metal body much like the 2014 version of the device. It comes in numerous colours. The phone has a 5.7-inch 2K screen, a high-end 6-core processor, 3GB RAM and a 21-megapixel camera on the back. The phone also has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats.
The battery size compared to the Moto X Play is smaller at 3,000mAh. The Moto X Play has a 3,640mAh battery. Motorola touts fast charge technology where it claims the device can charge at a rapid rate. The phone also has dual front facing speakers. It will also be offered in a number of memory options with also microSD card expansion.
Uniquely, Motorola's devices run a pure unadulterated form of Android Lollipop, which is bereft of any manufacturer level customisations. This normally tends to make the phone faster and easier to use. Motorola also preloads a few custom features of its own like a special voice commands system and a number of gestures.
The Moto X Style was launched in the US in August starting at $399, which is about Rs 26,000. The phone launches at an interesting time as Google is also going to launch its new Nexus smartphones in India, which could be priced competitively.
