Samsung Could Ship 46 Million Galaxy S6 Units By The End Of 2015

As you all know by now, last year wasn’t exactly as good as Samsung has hoped it will be. The experienced significant profit drops, and it was time to change things up a bit. This Korea-based tech giant decided to introduce metal in their handset’s design in combination with polycarbonate, which resulted in some positive feedback. Samsung quite recently introduced two metal unibody devices quite recently, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the company’s new flagships. These devices are the first of a kind for this Korean smartphone manufacturer, and according to latest reports, pre-orders for them are off the hook. According to the recent report, Samsung has increased the production volume for these two handsets in Korea to a total of 13 million units throughout March and April because carriers and retail channels all around the globe have allegedly pre-ordered approximately 20 million Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge units.
A new report came in today from CitiBank’s analyst, Henry H Kim, claiming that Samsung could ship 46 million Galaxy S6 units by the end of 2015. The original prediction was set at 38 million units, but it seems that analysts have changed their mind recently. CitiBank’s analyst also mentioned that the success of Samsung’s flagship could positively affect the company’s low and mid-range smartphones, as well as Samsung’s home-baked hardware components. This is not all though, CitiBank has also predicted that Samsung will experience 1% decline in operating profit in the first quarter this year, but that won’t last for long, they predict a 39% increase after Galaxy S6 sales kick off.
There you have it folks, it seems like Samsung is on the right path at the moment. If these analysis are correct, Samsung could easily become the world’s number 1 smartphone manufacturer once again in a couple of months. It will be interesting to see if LG and Apple can mess with Samsung’s plans, as you already probably know, LG G4 and iPhone 6S / 7 will launch in the coming months.
