LG G Flex2 with curved display launched in India for Rs 55,000; 105-inch 5K TV for Rs 60 lakhs
LG launched its next-generation curved display smartphone in India on March 18 at the LG Tech Show in Delhi. The LG G Flex2 was launched for Rs 55,000. Dipped in Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red colours, the all-new LG smartphone will hit store shelves this month.
In terms of specs, it gets a 5.5-inch full-HD curved P-OLED display with 1080×1920 pixels of resolution, and pixel density that goes all the way up to 403ppi. One can also expect a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 along with its own Dura-Guard glass.
The LG G Flex2 comes powered by the most recent and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and Adreno 430 GPU. It also includes 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The smartphone runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop iteration. It retains the popular self-healing feature, which has now been improved to heal the device in just 10 seconds at room temperature.
On the camera front, it gets 13-megapixel rear snapper with OIS+, dual-LED flash and autofocus. Besides, a 2.1-megapixel camera has been employed on the front. In addition, it includes features like Gesture Shot, Gesture View, Glance View and Fast charging. Gesture shot ensures recognizable selfies from 1.5m, Gesture View lets you check the last clicked image while Glance View lets you swipe down notifications even when the screen is off.
The G Flex2 will be made available in 16GB and 32GB storage variants along with microSD card expansion. The connectivity options include 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. A 3000mAh non-removable battery completes the package.
Along with the G Flex2, LG has also announced its 105-inch 5K TV in India for Rs 60 lakhs and the 77-inch curved 4K TV for Rs 15 lakhs. LG had on display its entire TV line up which included flat as well as curved TVs.
LG’s smartwatch – the 3G enabled Urbane Watch which was launched at the Mobile World Congress, was also on display at the demo booths. There are no details out of the exact dates of the Urbane watch launch, but according to Amit Gujral of LG, it would launch in India in the coming months.
