Honor 7A With Face Unlock, 18:9 Display, Dual Rear Cameras Launched: Price, Specifications, Features
Huawei brand Honor on Monday announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone - Honor 7A - in China. The handset comes with stereo speakers and an 18:9 display in an affordable price segment. Successor to last year's Honor 6A, the Honor 7A comes with similar internals such as a Snapdragon 430 SoC and multiple RAM/ inbuilt storage combinations.

Honor 7A price has been set at CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,300) for the 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant, and CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,300) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB variant in China. It will be available in Aurora Blue, Black, and Platinum Gold colour options, and will go on sale in China starting Tuesday, April 3.
Honor 7A specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 7A runs EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. It sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, paired with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. There is a 3000mAh non-removable battery under the hood.
In the camera department, the Honor 7A bears a dual camera setup on the 3GB RAM variant: a 13-megapixel primary CMOS sensor plus a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The 2GB RAM variant of Honor 7A gets a single rear camera with a 13-megapixel CMOS sensor. Both cameras come with AI-based features and image blur capabilities. The selfie camera on both variants sports the same 8-megapixel sensor with soft selfie light. The phone has 32GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).
Connectivity options on the phone include Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, GLONASS, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard the Honor 7A include gravity sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor, and face unlock. Dimensions of the handset are 152.4x73x7.8mm and weight is about 150 grams.
