Moto X4 Launch Expected on September 2, Price Tipped
Lenovo recently added new smartphones to the Moto Z and Moto E ranges and introduced the budget smartphones under the Moto C range. However, the company doesn't seem to have forgotten its Moto X range, with plenty of recent reports pointing to the upcoming launch of the the Moto X4. Now, Moto has shared an official poster on Facebook that it is slated to host an event on September 2 where it is said to unveil the Moto X4.
Moto on its Philippines Facebook page announced a 'HelloMotoX' Facebook Live event that will be held at 6pm PHT (3:30pm IST) on September 2, and will feature popular actors from Philippines - Nadine Lustre and James Reid - who are together known as Jadine. The reports about the Moto X4 have already hit the rumour mill revealing its specifications in abundance. By the sound of it, it is very likely that Moto will unwrap the purported smartphone at this Facebook Live event.
Elsewhere, renowned tipster Andri Yatim has corroborated the news of the Moto X4 launch by sharing its expected price in North America. According to him, the Moto X4 is going to have an online MSRP of $349.99 (roughly Rs. 22,400) and $399.99 (roughly Rs. 25,600), also suggesting at the same time that there are going to be two variants of Moto X4.
So far, there have been numerous reports giving the specifications of Moto X4. The Moto X4 was also last week spotted on the US FCC site, revealing its specifications. The Moto X4 is tipped to have a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with Adreno 508 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It is said to pack 64GB of inbuilt storage, which will be expandable via a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). For the camera, the Moto X4 will sport two 12-megapixel rear cameras - one for colour and the other for monochrome grade. At the front, there should be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 3000mAh battery, and should run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box.
