Samsung Galaxy S8+ Variant With 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage Launched

Samsung Galaxy S8+ Variant With 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage Launched

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones just a few days ago, and the devices come in two sizes sporting ‘Infinity Display’. Most of their specifications are identical, with both smartphones offering 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage while also supporting expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB). Now, a new variant of the Galaxy S8+ has been made official in South Korea with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage offering.
Android Headlines was the first one to spot this device listing on Samsung Korea’s website. Samsung is also offering a DeX station dock for free with the Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM variant, but whether it is being given with pre-orders or purchase is unsure at the moment. The device is listed only in South Korea for the moment, but it was earlier spotted on China FCC as well, which means that it could launch in other markets as well. Samsung would presumably be targeting enterprise or premium customers with this variant, and the pricing for this one still remains unknown (however it will be more expensive than the base model, obviously). The device will be made available on the South Korean website and through specific South Korean carriers as well, but the exact availability details of this variant is also not known at the moment.

The Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB variant sports identical specifications to the Galaxy S8+ 4GB variant, apart from the RAM and storage bundle increase. The 6GB RAM variant will also have the option to expand its storage further with a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The Samsung Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ (1440x2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It sport 12-megapixel 'Dual Pixel' rear camera with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture, while there is an 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus on board as well, featuring an f/1.7 aperture.
The Galaxy S8+ will come powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC (2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad) in the US, while most international markets (including India) will get the Exynos 8895 SoC (2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad). It supports wireless charging as well as fast charging, and the Galaxy S8+ packs a 3500mAh battery.
