Alcatel Flash Launched With Front and Rear Dual Camera Setups

Alcatel has launched its Flash smartphone and interestingly, the device comes with four cameras (yes, you read it right). The new smartphone from the company comes with dual camera setup at the rear end as well at front.
The rear camera setup on the Alcatel Flash includes two 13-megapixel sensors while the front module bears an 8-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor. Both the camera setups feature Dual 6P lens, dual f/2.0, dual-tone flash, and close loop with PDAF.
The Alcatel Flash runs Android Marshmallow and sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display with pixel density of 401ppi. The device is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The connectivity options offered by the Alcatel Flash include Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Wifi direct, Wifi display, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. There's no mention of the 3.5mm headphone jack either. It houses a 3100mAh non-removable battery. In terms of sensors, the phone features a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and digital compass. The smartphone measures 152.6x75.4x8.7mm and weighs 155 grams.
How many cameras does a phone need really? We have already seen smartphones with dual-camera setups at the rear end, even Apple introduced the feature to its smartphone line up with iPhone 7 Plus last year. Then there are little more rare phones with dual-camera setup at the front end -  Vivo V5 Plus. Now we have Alcatel Flash with dual camera setups at front and back. It will be interesting to see how consumers respond to this feature as the price and availability of the smartphone has still not been made available by the company.
