Honor 5C With 5.2-Inch Display, 13-Megapixel Camera Launched




Huawei Terminals's sub-brand Honor on Thursday launched its new Honor 5C in China. Priced at CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 9,000) for the 3G model, the Honor 5C also comes in 4G model that has been priced CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,250). The new smartphone is now available to buy in China. There has been no announcement from the company on the launch of the Honor 5C outside the Chinese market.

The Honor 5C features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS LCD display. The dual-SIM smartphone support Micro-SIM cards and the Honor 5C LTE comes with 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIM card. 
The Chinese company touts that the handset supports LTE Cat. 6 which means it can support download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps. It is powered by the company's in-house HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core processor (clocked at 4x Cortex A53 at 1.7GHz + 4x Cortex A53 at 2GHz). The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).
honor_5c_rear.jpgThe Honor 5C sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. It also sports an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. The rear panel of the Honor 5C also sports the fingerprint scanner.

Apart from 4G, the smartphone supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The smartphone comes with regular Micro-USB charging port. It measures 147.1x73.8x8.3mm and weighs 156 grams. It packs a 3000mAh battery. The Honor 5C runs Emotion UI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
