Acer Liquid Zest Plus With 5000mAh Battery Launched




Acer on Thursday at its New York event unveiled a host of devices including the new Liquid Zest Plus smartphone. The handset is an enhanced version of the Acer Liquid Zest which was unveiled at MWC this year.
The Acer Liquid Zest Plus has been priced at $250 (approximately Rs. 16,000) and will be available in the US.

The biggest highlight of the Liquid Zest Plus is it packs a massive 5000mAh battery. The battery also supports fast charging functionality. The new Acer Liquid-series smartphone will be competing against various Android smartphones with the similar gigantic battery. These include the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo, and Asus ZenFone Max.

The Liquid Zest Plus features a 5.5-inch (720x1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also comes with a new feature dubbed tri-focus. It includes features such as laser, contrast, and phase detection.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Acer Liquid Zest Plus smartphone packs 16GB of inbuilt storage and also sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Apart from Acer Liquid Zest Plus smartphone, the Taiwanese company introduced its Switch Alpha 12 liquid-cooled 2-in-1 notebook. The device features a fanless design and comes with the company's Acer LiquidLoop cooling technology for silent and reliable operation.

Further, the company expanded its Predator gaming line with VR-ready notebooks and desktops. The new line-up included devices running Windows 10. Acer also announced F7 series large venue projectors with interchangeable lenses. In Notebooks, Acer revealed revamped Aspire R 15 claimed as the "thinnest" 15-inch 360-degree convertible.

The Acer Chromebook 14 for Work was also announced at the same event featuring 6th Generation Intel Core processor and is also claimed to "first" notebook with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The device is also compliant with US Military Standard (MIL-STD 810G) testing and offers optional USB Type-C dock.
