Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley Premium Smartphone Launched

Vertu, the premium smartphone brand that was recently bought by Hong Kong-based investors, has in partnership with Bentley launched the Signature Touch for Bentley. This is the third phone under a five-year partnership between Vertu and Bentley.

Notably, the new Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley is a re-branded Signature Touch that was launched in September last year and comes with identical innards.

Vertu will be also offering "Made to Order" option to consumers which will allow personalisation with the choice of eight leather colours and 16 stitching options.

The pricing for the new Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley starts at $9,000 (approximately Rs. 6 lakhs) and will be available with AT&T and T-Mobile. The smartphone features two-tone Beluga and Hotspur Bentley leather and also comes with Hotspur stitching. The company adds that the new handset features knurled side keys, a unique pillow rail, a sound bar, and a 3D Bentley logo. The new Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley will also come preloaded with a Bentley app that will be delivering exclusive content to users including tailored events, VIP access, and special features designed to integrate the Signature Touch with the range of Bentley models.

Vertu claims that the handset features its "most vibrant display ever" and also sports Dolby Digital Plus virtual surround sound. The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Vertu Signature Touch for Bentley will also offer various services from Vertu including Vertu Life and Vertu Certainty packages. Additionally, the handset packs a Lost Phone service, which allows owners to remotely lock and wipe the phone if lost or stolen.

To recall, Vertu Signature Touch features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display; comes with 5th-Gen Sapphire Crystal screen; powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor; 4GB of RAM; 21-megapixel PDAF (phase detection autofocus) rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash; 2.1-megapixel Skype compliant front-facing camera; 64GB of inbuilt storage, and 3160mAh Li-ion battery.

Commenting on the launch, Kevin Rose, Bentley Board Member for Sales and Marketing, said, "The Vertu for Bentley phones are designed and hand-made in England, personifying style, elegance and the modern perception of bespoke, underpinned by world-class technology and luxury performance."
