Samsung Galaxy Golden 3 Dual-Display Android Flip-Phone Spotted in Images
Last week we saw a Samsung flip-phone with a dual display passing Tenaa certification. Carrying the model number SM-W2016, the handset was tipped as Galaxy Golden 3. While the listing revealed the handset's specifications, it failed to show us the images at that time. However, now the same listing has shown the smartphone in images as well.
The dual-screen flip-phone, as per the images on the Tenaa listing, features curved outer panel design on the bottom half, similar to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5. Similar antenna bands on dual-screen flip-phone's outer edge can also be seen. One the inside, the handset includes a T9-style keyboard with square directional pad and other functional keys such as home, back, and multi-task on either side. The rear camera setup design is also the same as ones featured by the flagship Galaxy smartphones.
As for the specifications, the Tenaa listing shows the handset to house two 3.9-inch HD (768x1280 pixels) resolution Super Amoled displays, 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapxiel front-facing camera. The flip-phone would come powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos processor clocked at 2.1GHz, clubbed with 3GB RAM. 64GB of inbuilt storage also comes inside the smartphone. Running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the dual-screen 4G LTE supporting handset might first hit shelves in China if its certification by Tenaa is any indication. It measures 120.4x61x15.1mm and weighs 204 grams.
The SM-W2016 is being called as the Galaxy Golden 3 as the original Galaxy Golden carried the model number SM-W2014 and the Galaxy Golden 2 came with model number SM-W2015. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Golden launched in India in 2013 priced at Rs. 51,900, after which it got a price cut in 2014.
On Tuesday the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 successors also got leaked in images. The leaked images show the front and back panels of both the handsets.
