Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 Launch Set for September 22

Alcatel OneTouch has announced that its upcoming Flash 2 smartphone will be launching on September 22.
The company has revealed that the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will be announced at an online press conference and will be live streamed at the company website. In an email sent to media, the company confirms that the OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone will feature a 5-inch display. The company's teaser images for the handset also include a tagline that says, "The power of green." The rear camera can also be seen sporting a metal rim around the sensor at the back.

To recall, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash was unveiled in September last year. The single-SIM Alcatel OneTouch Flash ran Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and came with a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels; powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz MediaTek MTK6592M processor; 1GB of RAM; a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash; 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 8GB internal storage; expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB); Wi-Fi; Bluetooth; GPRS/ EDGE; GPS; 3G, and a 3200mAh battery. The company last year marketed the OneTouch Flash as a Samsung Galaxy Note killer. We can expect the company to bring the new OneTouch Flash 2 with upgraded innards.

Alcatel OneTouch, earlier this month, announced a bunch of new devices at the IFA 2015 trade show. The devices launched were the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star, OneTouch Pop Up, OneTouch Idol 3C, Pixi First, and OneTouch Go Play smartphones, apart from the OneTouch Go Watch smartwatch, and 17.3-inch OneTouch Xess tablet.
