Oppo Mirror 5s With 4G LTE Support, Android 5.1 Lollipop Launched

Oppo last week launched its Mirror 5s smartphone in Taiwan. So far there is no official word yet about the availability and price of the Oppo Mirror 5s for the Taiwanese market. The company is also yet to announce global availability plans for the Oppo Mirror 5s. The news was confirmed via a Facebook post by Oppo Taiwan's official account.

The new Oppo smartphone features 4G LTE connectivity, supported by both SIMs card slots. The dual-SIM based smartphone supports one Micro-SIM card and the other Nano-SIM. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Color OS 2.1 on top.

The Oppo Mirror 5s features a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD TFT display. The company stresses that the handset supports gloved and wet touch input. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor that's coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU, and 2GB of RAM. The Oppo Mirror 5s comes with 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while housing a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It features scene detection, Panaroma, geo-tagging, double exposure, smile shot, and HDR options. Connectivity options on the Oppo Mirror 5s, apart from LTE, include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,
Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. It is backed by a 2420mAh non-removable battery and will be available in White colour. It features ambient light sensor, g-sensor, and magnetometer. The smartphone measures 143.4x71.2x7.65mm and weighs 160 grams.

The handset comes preloaded with Smart Remote Control app that the company claims is compatible with common household appliances.
Last month, Oppo launched the budget Joy 3, listing it on the company website.
