Micromax Canvas Spark to go on open sale on Snapdeal on July 27, 28

Overwhelmed by the massive response to its budget smartphone Canvas Spark, Micromax has decided to conduct open sale of the product on July 27 and 28 on e-commerce giant Snapdeal.

Micromax recently announced that it has already sold 5,00,000 units of Canvas Spark since its launch in April this year.

The device has curved edges with the hardware keys placed on the right. It has 4.7inch display with 960x540 pixel resolution with good viewing angles. It packs in a MediaTek 1.3Ghz quad-core processor and features 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. Most importantly, it runs on Android Lollipop OS out of the box, a feature that is missing in most of the affordable smartphones.

The device sports an 8MP rear camera. However, the most alluring feature of this device is its price, which is just Rs 4,999.

In order to make the buying process easy so that more and more people can avail it, the company has decided to go for open sale, instead of flash sale, which requires registration and active participation of the consumers.
