Xiaomi Mi 4 vs Mi 4i: Sibling Smartphone Rivalry

The Xiaomi Mi 4 received a sizeable price reduction recently, bringing the price of the 16GB model down to just Rs. 14,999. The company also sells the Mi 4i handset with a price tag of Rs. 12,999. So it's understandable if the customers are confused between the two, given the similarity in pricing.
So let's take a quick gander at the hardware specifications to ascertain which one has the edge over the other:

As you can see, the only distinguishing factor between the two devices is the better front facing camera on the Mi 4 and the processor. While the Mi 4i has an octa-core processor, it's not as powerful as the Snapdragon 801 on the Mi 4, so it's no real contest. In conclusion, if you have an extra Rs. 2,000 to spare, it makes sense to go for the Mi 4 considering the features it brings to the table.
Flipkart currently has a Rs. 5,000 discount offer with the exchange of an old (usable) device. So you can get the Mi 4 for as low as Rs. 9,999 under this offer, while the 64GB variant can be yours for Rs 14,999.
The Mi 4i and the Mi 4 can be bought only from Flipkart or Mi.com, although it will be available through other retailers fairly soon. You'll have to register yourselves to stand chance to buy the Mi 4i, however, Mi 4 is available across online as well as offline channels across the country.
